I’ve been too excited!
November 10, 2009
I’m currently creating a mock up design for dairy dreamer and I’m just too excited! :) I don’t really have any tasks yet so I’m taking the time to improve my skills in designing a website. After this, I’m going to be coding in HTML/CSS so that I will be able to improve there also.
>.< oOoo I’m just too excited for it to finish. Please visit the site once it’s done! :) thanks!
Fish and Chips and Brownie ala Mode
November 8, 2009
We went to Parkmall last night to eat at a favorite restaurant Johnny’s Fish and Chips. It just opened a week ago, I think, but we’ve already eaten in this restaurant way back in college. Their first branch (which is now closed) was opened next to our school (USC-TC) and we loved eating there so much. They have really good service and I love the dishes that they offer. I just love how the fries compliments the juicy yet crispy flavor of the dory fish. The available choices of sauce is really delicious as well. My favorite sauce is the Tartar sauce, I recommend it. :)
Anyway, we ordered Big Fish from the menu. It cost us about PHP150 each.

a delicious set of Dory Fish with Lemon, Fries, and Tartar Sauce
After that amazing dinner, we went over to Postrio for dessert! We ordered another favorite treat called the Warm Brownie ala Mode. I just love how the warm taste of the brownie and the cold vanilla ice cream is paired to create a rather mixed taste in your mouth. Among all the places we have tasted a brownie ala mode, I guess Postrio had the best one.
Here’s our delicious dessert. It cost us around PHP70 each?

Happy Double Birthday!
November 7, 2009
Yesterday, we celebrated two birthdays from two officemates! I had a blast at the party, but unfortunately I didn’t eat that much because I was still stuffed from the Gyudon, Sashimi, and Gyoza from lunch. >.< I spent about 300+ for that, by the way, but I’m satisfied.
Anyway the party was at Alejandro’s–supposedly known for their crispy pata. Thank you Lani and William for the very yummy treat. Happy 25th birthday! :)

the candle's falling!
After the party, we went to Mountain View. It was fun, especially after a few rounds of beer.

happy birthday!
I will be posting all the photos soon on my facebook account. This is one of my favorite of the bunch:

Childhood Memories (compilation)
November 5, 2009
Each of us have different childhood memories. Some might remember the good old days of being pampered and treated like a spoiled little kid, some might remember playing with childhood friends, some might even remember those unfortunate moments of getting their very first wound, and others might no longer remember their childhood at all.
I compiled some stories from different individuals on how they lived their lives back then when we were teeny tots. :) It was fun reading their stories and I hope you’d enjoy it too.
If you wish to add something, please feel free to write down your childhood memory in the comment box below. ^___^ Thanks everyone.
“I remember waking up early in the morning on Sundays and hearing old songs being played outside the window. The neighbors would always play those extremely old, filipino,(bisaya or tagalog?) folk songs that seemed to make me feel sad. The sound is so loud that you could hear it from the second floor. We were still living in our old house and it felt like we lived in the province rather than in the city. I also remember the smell of my yaya (girl helper) when I was young. She smelled really funny every time she would carry me in her arms but I didn’t know what it was then. I used to love being carried a lot by my yaya when I was younger. Anyway it wasn’t until I grew older that I realized she smelled of ‘Tanduay’ (some kind of rum) nyahahahahahaha” - Melody
“I remember when we used to live in Santo Niño Village, there was this uphill area that me and my brother called ‘The Viewing’. One day we (me and my brother) rode a bike from the top of The Viewing and we were heading downhill. Since I was still a little boy, our ‘yayo’ (guy helper) was the one driving the bike and I was seated in front of him. We were moving very fast downhill and I suddenly fell in front of the bike. Our yayo got scared and quickly stopped the bike. My brother who was behind us was startled at our sudden stop so he quickly stopped his bike too. Because of this, he was out-balanced and fell face first to the ground. He got a big wound on his face because of that.” - Jeremie
“I remember the first kisses that I had was when I was in kinder 2. It was on that day I knew exactly what a ‘kiss’ was! hahaha…It was during my bday party in school! All of my classmates kissed me in my cute cheek because I was still a fat liitle child at that time.” -Vim
“When i was 4 yrs old i was almost hit by a jeepney just because i crossed the street to buy taho. hahaha” - Amerie
“My classmates and I were playing cowry shells way back when I was still in grade school. When I was about to pick up a broken shell on the ground, a student accidentally stepped on my hand and the broken shell got stuck on the middle joint of my right ring finger, as I tried to remove the shell, blood was gushing out of my finger so bad that i couldn’t stop it even after putting pressure on it, but it felt no pain maybe because I was so terrified. After a couple of days have passed, the wound started to heal but I can no longer move half of my right ring finger starting from the middle joint up to the tip, even now. T_T” - Teng
“I remember swimming in a big canal..selling popcorn with my cousins.. i ran home very scared from our caroling because drunk men were chasing after me and my friends.” - Rose
“This happened when i was about 5. We were a group of kids playing with a huge dog (huge compared to me at that age). Calling the dog’s name and making it run after us was fun. One time, we were shouting the dog’s name, as expected it ran after us. Still running, we’ve reached a fork in the road, splitting it with a road at left and another at the right. I chose the one at the right, which was unfortunate because everyone went left. It became worse when the huge playful dog went after me instead of the others. Terrified, I just kept on running as fast as I can, hoping the dog would just stop. The persistent dog kept on chasing me until it bumped my legs with it’s head, making me roll over backwards and hit my head on the concrete. Good thing there was no serious injury. Hehe” - Louielab
“I remember tripping on Taoist Temple’s ramp and rolling down. Playing Sailormoon and Power Rangers during tutor… and injuring one of my friends in the seesaw while we were playing Vampire2” - Karissa
“One of the biggest things that happened to me as a child was probably traveling. I was going on an airplane for the first time and going to Manila. I was about 6 years old and I was extremely fascinated by the whole process of traveling. Having to get your picture taken for the passport, having to help with packing clothes and toiletries, being at the airport and checking in your bags through metal detectors and x-ray machines, I remember that was both overwhelming and exciting for me.” - Nicole
“I remember I was not looking at the road while running, so one of my foot fell inside the canal.and i skipped my way home saying eyew eyew eyew eyew. My foot was covered with black gunk and it smelled so horrible.” - Shiela
“I was still a baby and we were in Dunkin Donuts at that time. I wasn’t feeling real well and had diarrhea. We still used blankets that time instead of Diapers and some of my poop slipped on my big brother’s donut. He didn’t know it was poop and thought it was chocolate so he ate it all up.” - Embarrassed Pooper
“I remember my dad and half-brother visiting cebu. We were in grade school, kuya, our youngest brother and me. We bought water guns and frisbees at S.M. it was kuya’s first time at cebu, next year he’d hopefully come home with me to visit.” - Fattrick Starr
“On one of our vacations, we were in an open field. We gathered with my friends to play baseball and sometimes fly a kite. We really enjoyed playing under the sun and our skins would turn dark after that. We didn’t care though, just as long as we were having fun and one time, we were really distracted while watching our kite that we didn’t realize we had stepped on cow’s shit (we call it ensaymada haha). While we were busy looking for a ‘poso’ (a thing that is pumped to get water), we forgot about our kite and it had already flown away from us. I miss those childhood days.” - Pritz
“I remember being hit by a huge cardboard by my dad when I was in grade 3 while we were at school. I was so ashamed because a lot of people saw what had happened. The reason that he hit me was that I lost something. I couldn’t remember what it was, perhaps it was a toy or jewelry.” - Ruerae
“I remember one summer, I went with my father to work a few weeks. He would leave me at the company’s conference room and I ended up reading the entire set of encyclopedia. I also remember trying to spin around and around so hard that I got dizzy and hit the flower pot and crashed my head towards a sharp-textured wall.” - anonymous
“I got scolded by my Kinder 1 teacher because I was always talking while we were having an exam. She threatened to crumple my test paper if I won’t keep quiet and I challenged her to. Since she didn’t have the guts to do it, I got my test paper from her and did the honor of crumpling and tearing my test paper instead. HAHAHAHA” - Fretzhie
“When I was a kid, I usually play at my neighbor’s place. There was one time I went there and noticed there was no one in the house. So I played outside their door. I was playing matchsticks + candle that then when I accidentally lit their window’s curtain. I was scared when the fire grew bigger. I hurriedly fetch a pail of water and put out the flame. Good thing the fire didn’t spread (and almost burned the house down). But it was very wet inside. When our neighbor knew the incident, after seeing the burnt curtains and very wet floor, OMG, she blamed our junkie neighbor who happen to be her greatest enemy. But my dad knew it was me, so he scolded me really bad (but didn’t get any spanking though) and it was the first father/son talk I had with him. Up until now, my neighbor still didn’t know it was me who almost burned their house 15 years ago. It was the most unforgettable experience I had when I was a kid. :)” - Fred
“I remembered having my foot stuck on a wooden floating house that was in the ocean. I cried really hard because of that.” - Wendell
“One summer, I heard the ice cream vendor outside our house and I remembered our helper buying me one with her own money. When I was about to taste it, it fell and slid under our piano. Goodbye, ice cream.” – Angel
“I remember watching cartoons every 3pm-6pm, climbing balimbing tree, tambis, mansanitas tree to get fruits. I also remember roaming around the neighborhood houses and skipping afternoon naps.” - Wara
“I remember when I was seven years old and having my birthday, we went to Subic. That was the first time I rode a horse and that was the only birthday I could remember.” - joy
“I really don’t have any interesting memory when I was a child or maybe I had but I just didn’t remember it as a story worth sharing with. But I could share a story which is memorable for me, it was about my father and my twin brother who had a ‘dog bite accident’ while playing table tennis in our plaza a long time ago which sadly found out that the dog who had bitten them was rabies prone and it’s a must to medicate them ASAP which would really cost that big, as in twice as big. The problem was we were financially unstable that time because my father doesn’t have any work anymore; we can’t afford to medicate them and really had a hard time finding ways to do so cause if not, both of them will be dead. But luckily we had a relative who had a contact who can vaccinate them for free. It was really a relief and thanks to GOD, our almighty father for he was really there when we needed him most. “ - Jezette
“When we were in 1st grade..we were actually fetched by our school van and not a school bus..haha It was in the afternoon around 1pm, the weather was hot..When we arrived in our house, I stepped out from the van. As I walked around in front of the van..it suddenly accelerate and move towards me. Imagine a 1st grader with a height around 3 ft, so the driver cannot see what was below the hood of the van. When the van increased its acceleration, I was dragged by its hood and what i did was to move with the same direction as the van and by running backwards trying to reach the side of the road to be safe. I just got on the side when it was already about 9 meters.. It was such an unforgettable experience. I was so lucky that I was not hurt and was so “genius” -haha- that i thought about going the same direction with the van. It was one of my near-death experience.” – beach
“I remember when I tried to eat one huge chicken during a New Year Party. Everyone was laughing at me because I wasn’t eating chicken, instead I was eating a half-cooked turkey.” - Ebbie

sleepy
July 22, 2009
I’m almost falling asleep in my seat. zzz
Could it be the late nights? I don’t know. I’ve been too sleepy recently.
I’m currently working on the same project. Reading a lot of stuff about Flash. I’ve been given a new task using flash functionalities. :) I love learning new things. wee
Allergic
July 20, 2009
I think I’m allergic to something. I just don’t know what it is. Looking back, there’s nothing that could hint a new activity of sort. Most of what I had been doing are basic tasks I do everyday, same with my meals.
Anyway, I hope I figure it out soon before it gets worse. It’s been coming back and going away since Sunday. I wonder what it is.

Red laser thing from the moon
July 6, 2009
I saw a kid yesterday. A kid with four stitches in his forehead and a bite scar on his hand. He said that was from a cat who bit him.
He told me something intriguing. He said he could see a red laser thing at night coming from the moon aiming towards our village. He wonders who’s doing this, he says.
And I am as well curious as to what this kid is talking about. He insists it’s not a plane, nor anything coming from the houses. He mentions of monsters or perhaps aliens are the ones responsible for this weird conspiracy.
But I am curious…
Long time no…err…wordpress?
July 3, 2009
Whew. Hello WordPress. Sorry it took me awhile to interact with you again. :)
I’ve just been quite busy doing this and that…okay, so I’m not that busy at work. I’m just busy learning new things like Javascript and…and…photography…and…well a lot of things. For the past few days working as a technical writer, I guess I’ve only been busy for like 2 weeks. I helped with the tarps and posters for the deVcon event which wasn’t much of a hassle, just time consuming. But it was a great event. I’ve also created [single-handedly] our DEN user guide. yaey. clap clap clap. Learning the system was interesting as well as mind-boggling…but it was all worth it.
Haven’t yet received feedback on the user guide but it’s still the first draft so there has to be lots and lots of changes.
As for the office? I love it here. Working and having to learn things…it’s just great. I’m looking forward to new projects. I hope I can participate in big ones. Heard they hooked Globe and SLMC…woot
